In association with David Burder of "3D Images " Les spent 2 years developing several camera systems in both full and half frame 35 mm format. Although 3D and stereoscopics have been around since the turn of the century, no one before has taken up the challenge using latter day equipment and knowledge, together with a willingness to break new ground by photographing the underwater environment, which is the perfect subject for 3D.

Les has utilised the present day Nikonos underwater camera body, together with engineering a variety of special lens's to fit, macro was achieved, but in a half frame format.
Special stereoscopic twin lens wide-angle camera's were housed, which produced a left & right image at the same time in full 35 mm format. Using special polarising filters in the projection equipment and the opposite polarising filters in the form of glasses, the viewer can witness the magical effect of 3D on the silver screen. The manufacture of Underwater camera housings combined with the marring of the above camera systems gave the passport to venture into the underwater world in 3D!

Most people will never venture below the surface or indeed have no desire to, for them this is the nearest they will ever get to experiencing the actual feeling of being there!
To experience the photogenic beauty of the coral reef and the stunning array of wonderful fish displaying every colour of the rainbow.

"Watermark" a spectacular Multi-Vision show in 3D was premiered last year in a one man show at the " Museum of the Moving Image " on the south bank in London.
